ReST Mental Health Program
Residents and fellows wishing to schedule a confidential appointment should call the Center for Advanced Psychiatry at 716-835-1246. Identify yourself as a UBMD resident physician. Appointments are scheduled during business hours, usually within three weeks, and programs support residents who need to attend important medical appointments. The Center is located at 4955 N. Bailey Ave, Suite 130 Amherst, NY 14226. ReST psychiatrists can facilitate referrals with community therapists if needed.
Blue Cross Blue Shield TeleDoc
Resident and fellow health insurance offers this service, accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to schedule all types of medical appointments, including mental health services. This service connects you to a board-certified physician by video. Physicians can review symptoms and medications, perform and exam, and recommend a treatment plan. Doctors are available within minutes or by appointment, 24/7/365. Typical visits are approximately 15 minutes, and mental health visits range from 25-50 minutes.

ECMC Help Center
The Help Center provides outpatient evaluations for individuals who have the desire to link with mental health services, as well as provide short term intervention for those who may be experiencing a crisis or feeling distressed. Lactation Rooms are available on the 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th floors of OCH
as you come off the visitor elevators, walk through the waiting area, take the first right, and they are there

Resident Safety in the Hospital
Residents should never have to deal with threats or actual harm from patients or their families
Please notify the senior residents, the charge nurse, the nurse managers, and SECURITY! if this happens on your floors!
If you do not feel safe leaving the hospital and need an escort, then security will provide one for you!
