CITI Training should be completed during half day research session in preparation for any research projects during residency training.
Go to: https://about.citiprogram.org/en/homepage/
The following courses would allow you to move forward on clinically based IRB projects:
1. Conflict of Interest
2. Human Research Curriculum, Biomedical Research Investigators Basic or Refresher Course completed within the past 3 years.
3. CITI Good Clinical Practice Course Basic or Refresher Course completed within the past 3 years.
Additionally, recommended to do a short conduct of research course
1. Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research Course Basic or Refresher Course. This introduces excellent topics regarding things like authorship, fabrication of data, etc.
For courses that are not clinically based (unlikely, but we be things like solely surveying your peers, etc), the courses required are different, you will need the following:
1. Human Research Curriculum
2. Social & Behavioral Research Investigators Basic or Refresher Course completed within the past 3 years.
3. Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research Course Basic or Refresher Course (see above).
The required courses can be seen here: https://www.buffalo.edu/research/research-services/training/compliance-training.html
